FAQ
Everything you might want to know before you cook.
About the product
What is the cooking surface made of?
Pure, uncoated titanium. Not titanium-plated. Not titanium-coated. The food-contact surface is solid titanium, clad over an aluminium core and a stainless steel base.
Is there any coating?
No. No PFAS, no PTFE, no Teflon, no ceramic, no silicone. Nothing chemically bonded to the cooking surface. That's the entire point of TITÁN.
Is it non-stick?
Not in the chemical sense. Titanium develops a natural, smooth low-stick patina with use — pre-heat the pan properly, use a little fat, and you'll find it behaves better the longer you cook with it. Unlike a coating, this patina doesn't wear off.
Is it induction-compatible?
Yes. All TITÁN pieces have a stainless steel base that works on induction, gas, electric and ceramic hobs.
What's the difference between Signature and Classic?
Finish. Signature is our hammered line — sculpted titanium surface, premium hand-feel. Classic is our smooth line — foundational, minimalist. Both share the same uncoated titanium cooking surface. The 28cm Signature Pan has a slightly thicker clad construction (2.8mm vs 2.0mm) — it's our flagship piece.
Are lids included?
Yes. Every pan, wok, saucepan and pot comes with a vented tempered-glass lid.
Care & use
Can I use metal utensils?
Yes. Titanium is hard — metal utensils are fine. You don't need silicone or wood to protect the surface.
How do I clean it?
Hot water, dish soap, a soft sponge. For stuck-on food, deglaze with warm water while the pan is still warm. Avoid steel wool unless you genuinely need to (it can scratch the polish, though not damage performance).
Is it dishwasher safe?
It won't damage the pan, but we recommend hand-washing to preserve the finish on the handle and stainless base.
Do I need to season it?
Not like cast iron. But pre-heating the empty pan, then adding a film of oil before food, helps build the natural low-stick patina from day one.
What about rainbow tint or slight discolouration?
Normal. Titanium develops a faint iridescent patina with heat. It's a sign the pan is being used well — not a defect.
